Intellectual Property refers to any intangible creation of the human intellect, including but not limited to inventions, patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, designs, software, databases, and any other form of creative expression. At Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, we recognize the importance of intellectual property rights (IPR) in fostering innovation, protecting our competitive advantage, and ensuring the fair use and protection of intellectual assets of faculty/students/supporting staff/project staff/ visitor. The primary goal of this IP awareness program is to equip faculty members with a comprehensive understanding of intellectual property rights and their significance i.e. educating faculty about different types of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. By spreading awareness, we believe that it will not only contribute to the growth of our organization but also to the advancement of the broader academic and innovation ecosystem.

- Introduction to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Understanding the basics of IPR, its importance in innovation and business, and the role of WIPO in protecting and enforcing IPR.
- Types of Intellectual Property: Exploring the different types of IPR, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, and their significance in various fields.
- Strategies for Protecting and Managing Intellectual Property: Learning about the best practices for protecting and managing intellectual property, including the importance of filing for patents and trademarks, and the benefits of licensing and collaboration.
- Q&A and Interactive Discussion: Encouraging open dialogue and addressing questions and concerns about IPR, its application, and its benefits.
